Join us every Thursday evening for a friendly yet competitive Texas Hold'em poker night. Perfect for players looking to sharpen their skills in a premium card lounge.
Seats are allocated on arrival, and the dealer will confirm table placement. Arrive a little early to settle in and review the night's blind structure.
Our monthly poker tournament brings together the best players in Canberra for a structured competition. Test your skills against serious poker players in a professional setting.
Registration opens two weeks before each tournament. Players are encouraged to register early because the field is capped to preserve table quality and dealer attention.
Occasionally, we host themed poker nights that add a unique twist to the classic poker experience. From vintage poker evenings to holiday specials, these events are always memorable.
Check this page or contact the venue for the next themed night. Themed events still follow the same house rules and professional dealer standards.
The Card Lounge
Our card lounge is designed to immerse you in the world of real poker. From the deep green felt of our professional poker tables to the warm brass accents, every detail is crafted for focus and enjoyment.
Tournament Types
Choose the format that suits your style. All tournaments use tournament chips only and are played for prestige and the love of the game.
Classic
In a freezeout tournament, players are eliminated once they lose all their chips. This classic format tests endurance and strategy, making it a favorite among serious poker players.
Flexible
Rebuy tournaments allow players to purchase additional chips during the early stages, offering more flexibility and action. This format is great for players who enjoy a faster pace.
Quick
Sit & Go tournaments start as soon as enough players register, making them perfect for spontaneous poker nights. These events are quick, exciting, and ideal for players with limited time.
Professional Service
Our professional dealers are trained to manage poker games with precision and fairness, ensuring every poker night runs smoothly. Combined with our real poker tables, the experience is unmatched in Canberra.
Private Events
Card Lobby Mountisa offers private poker events for groups, corporate teams, and special occasions. Enjoy the same premium poker atmosphere with exclusive access to our card lounge and professional dealers.
House Rules
Our poker nights are built on mutual respect and fair play. Please follow these guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone at the table.
Restaurant & Refreshments
While poker is our main event, our restaurant offers a warm retreat for players who want a meal or refreshment between games. The restaurant is a secondary amenity, designed to complement your poker night without distracting from the action.
