Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Card Lobby Mountisa, an offline poker venue in Canberra, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website. We are committed to transparency and giving you control over your online experience.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and provide analytics. This policy applies to the website at cardlobbymountisa.com and any related subdomains.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They store information about your browsing activity and preferences, which helps the site recognize you on return visits and provide a smoother experience.
Cookies can be 'session' cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or 'persistent' cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, and local storage, which serve comparable functions.
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core features such as page navigation, security, and access to protected areas. The website cannot operate without them. They do not require consent under most privacy regulations. Examples include cookies that maintain your session while browsing. They are set in response to actions you take, such as setting privacy preferences.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow the website to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personal features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. They remember your preferences, such as language or region. They may also remember changes you make to text size or fonts. They help improve your experience but are not strictly necessary.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve the site's performance and content. They collect data such as pages visited, time spent, and referral sources. We use this information to analyze traffic and improve user experience. These cookies do not directly identify you personally.
Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user, though we currently use them minimally. They may be set by third-party advertising networks. They help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. You can opt out of these cookies through your browser settings.

Managing Cookies
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to block or alert you about cookies, and you can delete cookies that have already been set. Instructions vary by browser; consult your browser's help section for details. Blocking all cookies may impact the functionality of this website. You can usually find cookie settings under 'Privacy' or 'Security' in your browser preferences.
Consent Preferences
When you first visit our website, you are presented with a cookie consent banner. You can adjust your preferences at any time by clicking the 'Cookie Settings' link in the footer or by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to function. You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time. Changes to your preferences will apply to future visits.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party services that we use, such as analytics providers or embedded content. These third parties may use cookies to collect information about your browsing activity across different websites. We do not control the use of these cookies and recommend reviewing the third party's own cookie policy. Currently, we use minimal third-party services, primarily for website analytics.
